SURVIVED THE RED EYE TO HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA ....YAWN

You gotta love a place that puts out a sign like this!! Exactly what we came for....well the lobster for sure!
We have planned ( or, more realistically, Not planned ) this trip in a week, and after deciding where we will stay our first and last nights, have left the rest to happen as it may.  We picked up a rental car at the airport, and as soon as we drove off, I could smell the salt in the air. One perk for taking the night flight is arriving just as the rest of the world is waking up, a beautiful time of day.
We headed out on the Lighthouse Route and our first stop was Peggy's Cove

Just a beautiful morning......
We had been told to arrive early to avoid the crowds that come on the tour buses,  and it worked out that we got there about 8 am, perfect timing. We walked on the huge rocky shore and around the lighthouse.
We also stopped at the two memorials to the crash victims of Swissair flight 111 in 1998.

We meandered along the coast, stopping a few times to shut our eyes for 5 minutes or so, and arrived at our B&B in Mahone Bay around 1:30. Plan to have a short nap, then do a walkabout in this beautiful little town.....stay tuned
