ROMAN HIPPODROME

On our drive to Antalya today, we stopped at the sight of a Roman Hippodrome. It was used as a stadium for horse races. We saw the one in Istanbul, but all that is left there are two obelisks. This one today did not have the obelisks, where the horses would turn around, but a large part of the actual stadium is there, along with a big yard beside it, of carved stones and broken pillars that came from it. It was fascinating to walk around, climb on and just imagine what went on there.
